Fall/Winter Style Guide: Jackets & Coats
Jackets and cardigans are easily my favorite part of dressing for colder weather. I am a pretty basics-friendly dresser, so having an extra layer to add-on just gives me more options and makes getting dressed a lot more fun. Here are my go-to Jackets and Cardigans for Fall.
Shirt Jacket: The style I have shown here is definitely a more “trendy” item, but shirt jackets are definitely not trendy! If this style scares you, try a traditional utility jacket. Here are some of my favorite shirt jackets
Blazers: probably my favorite type of jacket to wear! I definitely recommend having more than one if you like the look of them. An oversized blazer makes anything you wear look so much more put together and chic. I recommend having at least one sweater blazer and one that is more tailored. Here are some of my favorites.
Leather Jacket: if you want to look effortlessly cool and chic, add a leather jacket to your closet. This jacket goes so well with anything, from dresses to jeans and a tshirt. Here are some of my favorite leather jackets!
Denim jacket: a year round staple for me! I have so many denim jackets from over the years, but find myself reaching for the oversized ones the most. I love to wear them with leggings or black jeans. Here are some that I love
Teddy Coat: this is a must have item if you are like me and want to be cozy all fall and winter. I have teddy coats in camel, cream, and black, but if you never have gotten one before, I would recommend something neutral like a tan or cream one. Here are some of my favorites
Camel Coat: this is an item I have had in my fall/winter wardrobe for 5+ years. It’s timeless and elevates anything you wear it with! Here are some of my favorite neutral or camel coats:
Trench: I have been wanting this trench from aritzia for literally years now and I finally found a dupe that I think is just as good! A trench is a classic item that you will wear for years. I love the drape style trench jackets!
Long Cardigan: This one speaks for itself! So easy to throw on especially if you wear lots of leggings and skinny jeans in the fall!
